What is the Museum and why did we start it?
Since our humble beginnings in 2011, we’ve now created thousands of unique and limited-run wearable art designs. In recent years, more and more wonderful members of the Erstwilder community reached out asking for us to provide a complete back-catalogue of designs released. Some were interested in completing their collections of themed ranges or specific designs that have been recoloured many times. Others are just interested in the history of the pieces, given that they are collectible keepsakes. And so, our online archive, the Erstwilder Museum, was born!
When are new collections added to the Museum?
New designs released to ERSTWILDER.COM will be listed on the Museum between 90 and 120 days after their official launch. Make sure you follow us on social media @erstwilder, subscribe to our emails, and/or are a member of the Official Erstwilder Community Group on Facebook, as we usually announce Museum updates via these channels.
Why aren’t scarves, enamel pins and essentials listed in the museum?
Building the Erstwilder Museum has been an enormous undertaking, as is maintaining it given the number of designs we release. We decided to focus on listing all resin designs only, as these are the products which are nearest and dearest to the hearts of most community members. If you have any questions about other products we’ve released, feel free to contact us!
Where can I find a sold out design?
Oh gosh. Unfortunately, in most cases, you probably can’t! Being limited-run and collectible, the further back in the archive you go, the harder a design is to find. However, if you enjoy ‘the thrill of the chase’, you may have some luck searching for designs with Erstwilder Stockists and via Buy/Swap/Sell websites and Facebook groups. Start by checking out our Stockist List or joining the Erstwilder Shop Local Group on Facebook and ask there.
I have an account on ERSTWILDER.COM. Does that mean I have a Museum Account too?
No. The Erstwilder Museum is a separate website, so please create an account here too.
Can I shop from the museum?
No, the Museum exists to offer information and insights around designs and collections. It is not a ‘shoppable’ website – ERSTWILDER.COM is our only official online store. However, for more recent designs, you can find a button on product pages ‘Check availability on Erstwilder.com’ that you can click to see if that piece is still available to purchase.
Why do some designs not have a story?
You’re likely familiar with the fact that all Erstwilder resin designs come complete with a character name and a short story. This is true of almost all designs, though, in the early days, when we were still working out exactly what Erstwilder was, not every piece had a story to accompany it.
How do I get featured on the Museum?
Do you have an interesting or heart-warming Erstwilder story to tell? Are you an avid collector with an impressive assortment of pieces? Perhaps you’ve collected every edition of a design we’ve often recoloured, or maybe you have every cat ever released! If you have something to share and you’d love to be featured on the ‘In the Spotlight’ section of the Erstwilder Museum, please complete this form. We randomly select a couple of people to profile a year and will reach out if it’s you!
Can't find a design?
It’s likely an innocent mistake, or possibly a very old design we’ve missed or didn’t have records for! Contact us and our team will update accordingly.
Why can't I check the availability of every product on erstwilder.com?
As erstwilder.com launched in 2015, older designs are not listed online. Additionally, some designs like a Gift with Purchase or Lucky Dip Exclusive are sold not individually. Licensed collections are also only listed online for the time frame of our official agreement. Feel free to contact us with any questions though and we’d be happy to help!
